Letting go of protectiveness

Tue Oct 20, 2009, 4:51 PM
So I've decided something today.
Im very protective of my camera, I always keep it in its big, waterproof, hard bottom case thingie. I always make sure its spotless with a lint free cloth. And such n such.

BUT

I find that it being in its big ole case prevents me from always having it on me, and I find myself only taking it places on special occasions when I make the conscious decision to bring my camera with me, because the case is too big to fit in my purse.

So Ive decided that as nice as it is to be protective of ones things, with such a method one will miss out on random moments. And its usually the random ones that you end up wishing that you could have had your camera with you. Because life is filled with random moments and scenes that will amaze you, so why not catch as many of them as possible.

So now I am going to keep the camera (very carefully) in a pocket in my purse. Ill still make sure nothing such as keys touches it, but I do want to have it around me as much as possible.

Live your life. You never know what will happen.

PS I wish I could just grow some sort of skin pouch and just keep it there.....
